Duggan would have cozened the rich while the poor suffered. In short,he'd have been a typical pol.(Wish folk could ask the late Bob Carmack about Duggan.)
It's a shame Duggan isn't running as a Dem for the Senate. I would prefer him over the three candidates, and I believe he'd have a real shot. Thanks for the thoughtful post.
He is an excellent administrator and would likely make a very good Gov. He might make a good legislator, but he has no history in that role and I don't believe the executive and legislator roles are interchangeable. In the end he is a natural D. Inspire of his unique electoral success in Detroit, I believe from the onset he was never going to do anything other than get the R elected.
I'm still shocked and surprised. I know this man, and he would have been great. I keep waiting for news that he's changed his mind.
I'm with you

You have a point, but don't embarrass yourself by glorifying Carmack. Make sure you know what he was
Wasn't he a used car dealer whom Duggan debased?
Also,Carmack claimed Duggan took bribes and might have been more corrupt than Krooked Kwame.

He would have won both primary and the general easily. But he'd be a better governor.
