Happy late Birthday πŸŽ‰ Glad to hear your border crossing was uneventful.

I enjoy your stuff. Keep poking the orange mound of flesh. πŸ‘πŸ»

I miss your Michigan public radio days, but glad that you’re still writing and enjoy your pieces very much.

Thank you very much. I wonder if you know that I mainly write books these days, including ones on former Attorney General Frank Kelley, Judge Avern Cohn and a century-long study of race and a newspaper chain. In a few weeks a new book, a hopefully fascinating look at Oak Park, Michigan's Jewish suburb will also be published. I would be honored if you read any of them!

Oh, i did not. I’ll def check out your books. My kid lives in Royal Oak and best friend in Oak Park… it’s a very cool area! Tx

I love this. Can't tell you how many times I've watched ships go up and down the St. Clair, looking across the river and thinking, so close, yet so far.

Yep, it's been too long. Would like to explore the Canadian sides of Lakes Huron and Superior. I’m a camping and paddling fool!

Ever since one of my best friends and neighbors was Canadian I've had a thing for Canadians. They're more easy going and less entitled. I ran into a few last week who were afraid to say what they thought, and I had to assure them we aren't all Trumpers--the same as you Jack. Happy Belated Bday.

Happy to hear that you had a good time and that another fan got to meet you. Buonogiorno!

Jack, luckily you probably escaped their clutches because your skin has the accepted tone β€” white. (But beware, white folks of our political persuasion and profession will be nabbed once they run out of darker-skinned folks.)
